Benimar Motorhome Gelcoat Repairs

This customer had the old awning removed and a new one fitted which required a different mounting location. With the old awning mounts being well glued on, it managed to pull of some of the gelcoat layer from the laminate and the side of the motorhome developed 3 locations in need of repair from the old mounting locations. With the new awning fitted, we went about masking it all up and grinding out the gelcoat damage to re-lay another layer of fibreglass. After fairing the surface smooth, we went through the gelcoat colour matching process in order to get a great match and completed the resprays. A bit of sanding to flatten the gelcoat & a buff through to a gloss finish and the old mount locations had disappeared into the side of the motorhome and this customer was ready for a good Summer ahead with their Benimar motorhome!
